Verdict: The iQOO 9 Pro packs pretty much the absolute best hardware money can buy in pretty much all the departments. So for the display, we see the company use a 6.78-inch 120Hz LTPO AMOLED panel with a normal maximum brightness of 500 nits, 1000nits in the High Brightness Mode and peak, localised brightness of 1500nits while watching HDR 10+ or HDR high dynamic range video. Underneath the hood, we have the biggest hardware upgrade to the device in the form of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset. The phone is also backed by a big 4700mAh battery pack which is can be charged really fast using the phone's 120W fast charger. Yet, despite promising a lot, the iQOO 9 Pro is not the perfect gaming phone for the here and now. It offers powerful hardware and gaming first features that make it a very interesting offering. But surprisingly, its current performance levels don't do enough to justify the hype or the price tag attached to it.

The screen supports up to 144Hz refresh rate, 300Hz touch sampling rate and offers upto 1200nits brightness. However, all of these amount to just making it a gaming phone at heart. Therefore, as much as the company may have tried to make the ROG Phone 5 Ultimate for everyone, it still remains a gaming phone first, with most of the features being of little to no use for non-gamers.

Verdict: The OnePlus 10 Pro is a great smartphone, there are no two ways about it. It’s got a gorgeous display that facilitates a superb viewing experience, performance chops that rival the top flagship phones, and a long-lasting battery that can refill in around half an hour. All of this is neatly packed in a slim and lightweight profile that looks unique and can withstand daily wear and tear. The Hasselblad cameras don’t bring much to the table this time but you can still create great pictures from the main and telephoto cameras. On the other hand, the signature OnePlus experience that these phones were known for has its presence felt throughout the phone but isn’t fully there due to the codebase merger between OxygenOS and ColorOS. Overall, it is a very good 5G-ready phone if money is not a consideration.
